Hear renowned social capitalist and community enthusiast Peter Kenyon speak at the Redlands Community Connections Forum on 14 June.
Hosted by Redland City Council, this not-to-be-missed event is for all community service professionals, board members, community workers and volunteers, government department and agency staff – as well as businesses with an interest in local community solutions.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the theme of the forum, Building Strong Communities in Transformative Times, reflected her own belief that “resilience, perseverance and enterprise are essential ingredients for success in any community-based activity”.
Keynote speaker Peter Kenyon founded the Bank of I.D.E.A.S. and has worked with more than 1500 communities across the globe. Peter has authored 16 publications covering community and economic development, youth policy development and youth enterprise.
Representatives from three social enterprises based in the greater Brisbane area will showcase and discuss their operations and the strategic partnerships that make them work.
Local band Raise the Bar will perform at a networking lunch following the forum.
