The Piazza at Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC), Cleveland will again be brought alive with a night of tapas and free live entertainment on Friday 20 June from 5-7pm.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said Tapas Friday was a perfect way to catch up with friends and family and wind down to start the weekend.
“This is the second in the series of Tapas Fridays, and Council is delighted to continue its support for this new and fresh idea,” Cr Williams said.
“The first RPAC Tapas Friday was a raging success and a great addition to the music and food scene in the Redlands. I am confident the second night will be even more popular.
“I can’t think of a better way to see out the working week than enjoying the relaxed Redlands atmosphere, eating delicious tapas and soaking in the sounds of free musical performances.”
RPAC Manager of Creative Arts, Zane Trow, said the night’s entertainment included original music as well as covers of popular songs from Eva Cassidy, Sting, Sam Smith, Coldplay, Justice Crew, Sia, Sheppard and Michael Jackson.
“The Tapas evenings promote a variety of artists and we again have a fabulous line-up, including the talented Noisy Minors and a number of other artists from Vocal Manoeuvres,” he said.
“You don’t have to travel outside the Redlands to have a wonderful night of entertainment – it’s right here for locals to enjoy.
“Tapas Fridays are also a great chance for visitors outside Redlands to have a taste of the great arts culture in our City, showcasing all the Redland Performing Arts Centre has to offer.
Tapas Fridays are presented by RPAC in association with Vocal Manoeuvres.
