The festive season in Queensland doesn’t just mean work Christmas parties and over indulging on food – it also heralds the start of storm and fire season.
The last month has already seen days of heightened fire conditions and storms rumbling overhead, so it is time to ask yourself are you ready for potential natural emergencies?
Council has launched an online service for Redland residents to access suburb-specific emergency planning information.
The Redlands Disaster Plan website gives all the information people need to be prepared for potential local disaster and emergencies such as safe evacuation routes, local places to go in an emergency, natural hazards and critical infrastructure in each suburb.
Much of this knowledge was shared by locals at our community consultation sessions. Knowing how to prepare and what to do could be lifesaving, so check out the website and save it to your favourites!
