Mother Nature again showed her might recently with ex-tropical Cyclone Marcia delivering heavy rainfall and strong winds to the Redlands.
While Redland City was spared the full brunt of the weather, congratulations go to residents and emergency services for their preparedness and response to the event.
With around 200 SES and Council staff at hand over the weather event and 4000 sandbags packed by workers and community volunteers, it was a tremendous joint effort.
