Point Lookout’s ever-popular Gorge Boardwalk will be open throughout the busy Easter period, with visitors having a new viewing platform to take in the stunning views.
Work to upgrade sections of the boardwalk, which has been progressing in stages, will be suspended until after Easter. This latest stage will bring the total cost of the boardwalk’s construction to more than $2 million.
Keeping the 1.2km cliff-top walk in top shape ensures it remains one of South-East Queensland’s most acclaimed sustainable-tourism attractions.
Meanwhile, the closed section of South Gorge will remain so as Council investigates options for the repair of the eroded area.
