4.20pm: Severe weather update
* Leslie Harrison Dam continues to spill. Seqwater reports some lower-level flooding to parklands and the Capalaba Greyhound Club may occur if the rain continues.
* Redland SES Unit continue to attend requests for assistance.
* Self-service sandbag station at the Redland Showgrounds, Cleveland will continue into the evening.
* SES have deployed further units and equipment to North Stradbroke Island.
* Straddie Camping have relocated a number of campers on Main Beach to cabin accommodation and provided warnings to those who have chosen to stay re travelling in the next 12 hours.
* Our crews have been deployed through the Southern Moreton Bay Islands and the mainland to provide rapid assessment and assistance as required.
* As at 4pm there are no disruptions to train or ferry services.
ROAD INFORMATION
* Department of Transport and Main Roads report that Woodlands Drive at Mt Cotton Road is flooding and warning lights have been activated.
* Ricketts Road at Thorneside is flooding and council crews are in attendance.
* Reports of water over the road at Valley Way, Mount Cotton.
* Our crews are on their way to Avalon Rd, Sheldon and Serpentine Creek Road, Redland Bay. Closures of these roads are likely.

3.15pm Latest road information
- The northbound lanes on Woodland Road at Mt Cotton Road are flooding and they are monitoring. The road will be closed shortly and the lights have been activated. SES are in attendance to slow drivers until the crews from Transport and Main Roads arrive.
- Water over the road at Ricketts Road, Thorneside.
- Reports of water over the road at at Valley Way, Mt Cotton (near Sunrise St).
1.20pm Council sports fields closed
All council sports fields are closed due to the high rainfall over the past 24 hours. They will remain closed until 7am on Sunday 3 May 2015. If your organisation believes your fields are suitable to play on this Sunday, you are advised to check with our on-call officer before participating in your activity.
12.30pm Self-service sandbagging station open at Redland Showgrounds Cleveland
If you are unable to fill your own sandbags, please call the SES on 132 500 for assistance.
12.25pm Beaches closed on Straddie
Main and Cylinder beaches on North Stradbroke Island closed due to dangerous surf.

11.40am Severe weather warning update
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued a severe weather warning for the southeast coast including Redland City.
Damaging winds with peak gusts of around 90km/h are possible near coastal areas as the low moves southwards later today and tonight. These winds could impact North Stradbroke Island in particular with the potential for ferry disruptions: please check with ferry operators for the latest information.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters. If it’s flooded, forget it!
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Surf Life Saving Australia recommends that you stay out of the water and stay well away from surf-exposed areas.
* Check your property regularly for erosion or inundation by sea water, and if necessary raise goods and electrical items.
