Redland Art Gallery has put out a call for local artists, curators, performers and workshop facilitators.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the gallery was seeking expressions of interest for involvement in exhibitions, workshops and events from 2021 through to 2024.
“One of the gallery’s key priorities is nurturing local arts and culture, and supporting the representation of Redlands Coast’s diverse culture and heritage,” she said.
“Every year the gallery invites artists, both individuals and groups, and curators to submit a proposal for an exhibition.
“At the moment the gallery is inviting expressions of interest for 2022 to 2024.
“There is also a callout for facilitators of arts workshops for children and teens throughout 2021, normally during the school holidays.
“The workshops can encompass anything from drawing, digital media, printmaking and weaving through to dance, singing, jewellery making and photography.
“The gallery is also looking for performers to add to its database.”
Cr Williams said the callout was a great opportunity to involve the Redlands Coast community in the gallery’s programming of events.
“We encourage all interested parties to have a look at the criteria for each of the areas and to read the gallery’s policies and conditions.”
Expressions of interest close in late November.
Redland Art Gallery provides opportunities to engage with the visual arts, craft and design through exhibitions and public programs in both Cleveland and Capalaba.
