Eligible Redlands Coast residents impacted by the recent severe weather have until Friday 1 April to apply for two grants under the State Government’s Personal Hardship Assistance Scheme.
The State Government activated the grants for Redland City Council residents experiencing hardship as a result of the extreme weather event which occurred in late February and early March.
There are a number of grants available:
- Emergency Hardship Assistance: $180 per person (up to $900 for a family of five or more) for people who are unable to meet their immediate essential needs for temporary accommodation, food, essential clothing and medication.
- Essential Services Hardship Assistance: $150 per person (up to $750 for a family of five or more) for people who have experienced the loss of one or more essential services for more than five days.
More information on the Personal Hardship Assistance Scheme and how to apply is available on the Queensland Government website.
