Time is running out to nominate a local hero for a 2024 Redlands Coast Australia Day award.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said nominations for the popular annual awards close on 1 December 2023.
“We have some amazing people, right across Redlands Coast, whose work and achievements really do strengthen and benefit our communities in a variety of ways,” Cr Williams said.
“This is a great opportunity to recognise these people and tell them how much they are valued and appreciated.”
Cr Williams said there were nine award categories recognising different accomplishments or involvements.
Online nominations are open for the following award categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year (60 years of age or older)
- Young Citizen of the Year (30 years of age or younger)
- Local Hero
- Reconciliation
- Community Organisation
- Cultural
- Sports
- Environment and Sustainability

Nominations close at 4pm on Friday 1 December 2023.
Finalists will be notified and invited to attend the 2024 Redlands Coast Australia Day Awards, which are being held in January 2024.
