Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) stakes its claim as south-east Queensland’s new home of classic Aussie rock with a 2024 gig line-up featuring some of the biggest names in Australian music.
Rock out to live sets from Ella Hooper, Ian Moss, Vika and Linda Bull, Marcia Hines, Joe Camilleri and the Black Sorrows, John Williamson, Kate Miller-Heidke, The Choirboys and more in the star-studded program.
RPAC gigs blend the raw emotion of a rock concert with the comfort and style of its state-of-the-art, 550-seat Concert Hall, at a low ticket price.
The intimate venue allows music lovers to get up close and personal with their favourite artists while tiered seating and world-class acoustics mean they won’t miss a single power chord.
RPAC Service Manager (Creative Arts) Brad Rush said the 2024 gig line-up read like a who’s who of Australian rock music royalty.
“We are thrilled to welcome some of the country’s most exceptional singers, songwriters and musicians to play RPAC in 2024,” Mr Rush said.
“These are enduring artists and consummate entertainers whose appeal spans generations, who have amassed fans across the world and who continue to headline festivals and enjoy prolific touring careers.”
Headlining RPAC’s first gig on Friday 5 April is revered rocker, ARIA-winning musician and former Killing Heidi frontwoman Ella Hooper.
“My shows are all about connecting with the audience so I love playing intimate venues like RPAC’s Concert Hall where I can have a chat and a laugh with people,” Hooper said.
“I can’t wait to share songs from my recent album, Small Town Temple, and even drop a few never-before-heard songs from my new album.”
A recent multimillion-dollar facelift has made visiting RPAC a breeze for gig-goers, with wider footpaths, a new drop-off zone, improved accessibility and additional spaces in the free on-site car park.
RPAC’s Sundial Bar is the perfect meeting place for a pre-gig drink, with the venue located an easy stroll from Cleveland’s dining precinct.
“With the support of Redland City Council, RPAC is ready to rock out in 2024 and beyond and take its place alongside the region’s top live music venues,” Mr Rush said.
