Award-winning chanteuse and The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke has described North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) on Redlands Coast as her “favourite place in the whole world”.
“I’m endlessly fascinated by the history, culture, wildlife and breathtaking beauty of the place,” the Brisbane-raised Miller-Heidke told Redland City Council’s magazine Our Redlands Coast.
Miller-Heidke, accompanied by her husband and long-term collaborator Keir Nuttall on guitar, plays the Council-managed Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC), Cleveland, on 10 September, as part of her national regional Catching Diamonds Tour 2024.
She is looking forward to returning to RPAC which she said is a beautiful venue.
“(RPAC) audiences have been incredibly warm and generous. I am a Brissie girl so it feels like coming home,” she said.
Redland City Mayor Jos Mitchell is also looking forward to the show.
“I am a huge Kate Miller-Heidke fan and I am very excited to see her return to RPAC,” the Mayor said.
