Redland City Council has recognised two Redlands Coast residents who were named on this year’s Australia Day Honours List for their outstanding contributions to the community.
Pamela Tranter of Cleveland and Madonna McKenna of Capalaba were formally acknowledged at yesterday’s General Meeting.
Redland City Mayor Jos Mitchell said both residents were very worthy recipients of a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division.
“Both Pamela and Madonna have given so much to the community and I’m pleased to see them being recognised for their dedication in their chosen fields,” the Mayor said.
“They join an inspiring list of people on Redlands Coast whose actions have enriched our community and who have received an Australian Honour.
“On behalf of Redland City Council and the community, I congratulate them and thank them for everything they have done on both Redlands Coast and beyond.”
