Redlands Coast residents can ‘make a difference to our natural world’ by heading along to the Eco Market at Redland City Council’s IndigiScapes Centre on Saturday 5 April 2025.
Mayor Jos Mitchell said the Eco Market offered the chance to gain knowledge, engage and shop sustainably.
“Choosing everyday products that make a difference helps people and the planet,” she said.
“The local stallholders provide inspiration with their eco-friendly, handmade and artisan products
“One of the activities that young gardeners will love is the veggie patch trailer, where kids can pot a vegetable seedling to take home and observe the growth cycle of edible plants and vegetables.

“They can also make a seed bomb with Urban Bee Co and paint a clay egg and other ornaments for Easter with Dani from Wild Flow Wellbeing.”
Division 7 Councillor Rowanne McKenzie said IndigiScapes Native Community Nursery would be open from 8am on the day.
“You can drop into the nursery for all your native plant needs and advice,” Cr McKenzie said.
“The market also provides the public with an opportunity to engage with Council’s Environment Education team and see how much has been achieved over the past 25 years of habitat restoration, conservation and education at IndigiScapes.”
Visitors can start the morning with family yoga before wandering through the Botanic Garden market lane to explore the range of unique exhibitors, sustainable products and fresh artisan produce available from the creative market community.
Ranger Stacey will join Bay FM’s live broadcast from the markets and welcome local favourite, David Hethorn to the stage to perform his new single, along with popular ‘feel good’ hits.
Council’s Disaster Management Team also will be at the market to engage with the community and talk about the ongoing recovery from Tropical Cyclone Alfred.
The Eco Market will be held from 8am to 12pm on Saturday 5 April at Redlands IndigiScapes Centre, 17 Runnymede Road, Capalaba.
