It’s mission possible, with the popular Agents of Discovery augmented reality game now in play at Redlands IndigiScapes Centre at Capalaba.
The smartphone app-based game allows visitors to the centre to become top-secret agents where they are assigned interactive “missions” by Agent Galah (pictured below). Using a map, they get to explore the area and solve challenges.
Redland City Mayor Karen Williams said the augmented reality app was free and, once downloaded, did not require any data or WiFi to run.
“It is a fun way to get active and engaged in learning about the environment as well as seeking out the hidden wonders of IndigiScapes,” Cr Williams said.
“Agents of Discovery missions have been rolled out across Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States, so it is a delight to have it in play at IndigiScapes.”
Division 7 Councillor Rowanne McKenzie said Agents of Discovery complements the numerous activities for youngsters at IndigiScapes. such as playgrounds, nature trails, and educational activities including the Get Grubby Program.
“IndigiScapes is an ideal day-out destination for families, with even more now to discover thanks to this augmented reality app,” Cr McKenzie said.
Wannabe secret agents are encouraged to download the Agents of Discovery app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play before heading out to play at IndigiScapes.
Alternatively, two drop-in sessions will be held at IndigiScapes on 18 and 20 September to assist families with downloading the app and getting started with their mission.
