If its tapas and live entertainment you like, the place to be on Friday night is Redland Performing Art Centre.
Redlands City Mayor Karen Williams said the event was part of Council’s vision of activating the city centre and generate attractions for the public to enjoy this wonderful city and all it has to offer, including the Redland Performing Arts Centre.
“This is part of Council’s objective of breathing new life into the CBD by making it a place of celebration as well as a place of business,” she said.
“Council is proud to support the event, which will also showcase upcoming talent of the city’s music scene with free entertainment.”
The Manager of Creative Arts, Zane Trow, said the event was organised to generate public interest and exposure to the fresh and upcoming artists of the Redlands.
“This is the first of the series of Tapas Fridays, where the public can enjoy a variety of fresh artists in a relaxing atmosphere,” he said.
“The free event will be provided by Redland Performing Arts Centre in association with Redlands’ favourites Vocal Manoeuvres.
“In addition to a night of free live entertainment, a range of tapas dishes will be served from the bar.
“This relaxed event will be held from 5 – 7pm on the Friday Night at the RPAC Piazza for the public to experience a fun and stress-free night at the end of the working week.
“The twilight event will conclude with a performance from the successful band Noisy Minors, who released their self titled debut album in November 2013.”
